Driving through the southern Paris suburb of Petit-Clamart in August 1962, the motorcade of President Charles de Gaulle suddenly became the target of gunfire and explosives. Against all odds, De Gaulle came out unscathed... A conspirancy mounted just weeks after De Gaulle proclaimed Algerian Independance, the infamous "Petit Clamart Ambush" involved some 20 men and women from different horizons and was masterminded by a brillant renegade lieutenant-colonel, jean-Baptiste Bastien-Thiry, with all the care of a full military offensive.
