An island off the coast of Brittany. Oyster farmer Juliette Lacombe is struggling to save her family business from bankruptcy when a hotel chain, represented by Bernard Kerouac, offers to buy her out as part of a plan to create a thalassotherapy center. Juliette's refusal to sell triggers a war of interests in which blackmail and seduction become the main weapons. A war that takes a new turn when its two principal antagonists end up falling in love. But then Juliette learns the awful truth about her lover, and the war continues...
