Thomas Croze is an up-and-coming young Alpine skiing champion when tragedy destroys his life and aspirations: his beautiful mistress, and the wife of the most powerful man in the region, is found murdered. In the course of a bungled investigation and trial, Thomas is sentenced to 13 years in prison.
13 years later. Thomas is released from prison with one thought in mind: find the real culprit. But his private investigation is again marked by tragedy when the husband of his dead mistress is found dead. Suddenly, Thomas is again on the run from the police and the real killer as the passions of the past again cast their blood-red shadow across the Alpine snows.
