An attorney and local policemen investigate the rape and strangulation of two little girls. The prime suspect is brought in for questioning, gets confused and arouses further suspicion. But they release him due to lack of evidence. When the suspect's wife gets involved, the inspector is even more convinced it's this man... or does he have too much faith in his own convictions?
