Hud wants revenge for his brother's execution - he was wrongly accused of stealing money from the bank. Only the banker's widow sympathises and helps him understand the background. He finds a code and deciphers it, leading him to the money and eventually back into the widow's web. Only then does Hud realise who the real culprit is.
