Gervais, a tenacious police officer in Paris, is the laughing stock of the station house: for years, he has been hunting Curtis, a wisecrack, burglar-king, who unfailingly escapes and makes a complete fool of Gervais.
But one morning, after another failed chase, Gervais wakes up in a city devoid of all its inhabitants…
