MEDEAS nabbed the New Visions/New Voices Award at Palm Springs Film Festival

TF1 has snatched up international sales and French distribution rights to Andrea Pallaoro’s intimate psychodrama MEDEAS

The acquisition was unveiled by TF1's head of international sales Sabine Chemaly at the UniFrance Rendez-Vous mini-mart.

Produced by Varient Pictures and Sixteen Frames, the 35mm-lensed MEDEAS recently received the New Visions/New Voices Award at Palm Springs.

Pic toplines Colombia’s Catalina Sandino Moreno and Irish stage vet Brian F. O’Byrne as two California dairy farmers financially struggling with five kids. The film explores the boundaries of human behavior in the face of hardship.

Pallaoro’s feature debut, MEDEAS has been critically-aclaimed. Pallaoro won best director at Marrakech and the U.K./Italy creative industries award at Venice.
