TF1 INTERNATIONAL PACTS WITH EL DESEO ON CATALOGUE TITLES

Following a longtime relationship with Spanish production company El Deseo, TF1 International strengthens its catalogue slate with new titles from the Spanish film production company.

Indeed, Ciby 2000 founded by Martin Bouygues, coproduced from 1991 until 1997 all Pedro Almodovar’s feature films; HIGH HEELS, KIKA, FLOWER OF MY SECRET and LIVE FLESH . When CIBY 2000 closed, TF1 Int’l took over the international sales rights of them, along with earlier films directed by Pedro Almodovar.

The new partnership includes six titles : 4 feature films from the director’s filmography BROKEN EMBRACES, BAD EDUCATION, TALK TO HER and VOLVER and 2 from director Isabel Coixet MY LIFE WITHOUT ME, THE SECRET LIFE OF WORDS, completing the 8-title actual offer.

In addition, El Deseo is currently supervising a comprehensive restoration project of Pedro Almodovar’s films, among them WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A BREAKDOWN, KIKA, VOLVER and TALK TO HER, as well as the production of exclusive material for home video prestigious editions
