ASPHALT PLAYGROUND Awarded at the 43rd Giffoni Film Festival

Selected in the GENERATOR + 13 competitive section, ASPHALT PLAYGROUND took the Bottega Digitale Award in Italy.

Generator + 13 offered a portfolio of films that are often thought provoking and about sensitive issues. The jury chose to give the award to ASPHALT PLAYGROUND for its realism as well as for the innovative screenplay which develops a triple story with a triple evolution of the protagonists focusing on the European suburb. The suburb has been represented as a place which is not necessarily ugly and where people are not inevitably ill-fated. The decay can be also psychological and it is possible to choose to do good. The theme of racism is also dealt with in the film.
