Martine, a successful interior designer, hadn't seen her husband in two years, ever since he lost his job and, feeling bitter and useless, walked out the door one day and was never heard again. Until the day Martine witnesses an incident involving a vagrant who's been caught shoplifting in a local supermarket. "Are you French ?" the police officer asks the vagabond. "No homeless" replies the poor wretch. Unlike the rest of the onlookers, Martine's laugh freezes in her throat... She has just recognized Stéphane, her husband ! Although she steps in, Stéphane again disappears and Martine sets out to find the man she has never stopped loving. But her quest shatters her illusions about herself, her best friend and the current man in her life.
