When Agnes Merline, a young Parisian “nose” for a leading perfume company, journeys to Martinique to answer a call for help a long-lost grandmother, little does she realize that her life is about to change.
Suddenly, Agnes learns she has West Indian roots, that her grandmother’s family rum distillery is coveted by unscrupulous competitors and that she has a sorceress cousin who is out for revenge.
It is all a lot to handle for a young woman who is also being trailed by two ill-intentioned individuals working for a rival perfume manufacturer. As support, Agnes has to rely on a bodyguard sent by her employer to protect her precious “nose.” Their relations prove to be stormy but, against a backdrop of magic and exoticism, true love has its way…
