Doctor Emma Sandrelli gets back in the swing of things, taking care of her son Luigi and her patients. But how do you build a new life for yourself when your world has been blown to bits? Can you learn to trust and love again? These are the questions Emma must come to terms with when she meets Gabriel, a charming young 25-year-old osteopath who comes to work at her medical practice.

But she can't help having doubts. Is Gabriel trustworthy? Is he really the sensitive, attentive young man he seems to be? Meanwhile, her son Luigi has changed a lot in the last few months. He has learned to lie and be two-faced to everyone. Despite his big talk, he decides to secretly go see his father Matteo again.

Luigi finds out his father is living on the edge, with no money, trapped in a miserable situation at home, caring for a baby whose mother Candice is bitter with regret for having to give up the carefree life of her youth too soon.

Episode 7:
One night, feeling a bit lost and lonely, Emma has a one-night stand with a stranger named Gabriel. Later, she is unpleasantly surprised to see him show up at her medical practice and apply to work there as an osteopath. Gwen and Yves are so delighted and enthusiastic, it is hard for Emma to justify her hesitation. Gabriel manages to convince Emma. But a new surprise lies in store: someone videotaped her having sex with Gabriel. Who? Why?
Matteo's new life seems like a nightmare. He didn't get custody of Luigi and the tension in his relationship with Candice is becoming unbearable. He's had to sell his shares in the restaurant and settle for working there as a waiter. Even the birth of little Juliette isn't enough to light up his dismal life. Candice, overwrought and exhausted by her duties as a young mother, starts to feel more and more resentful towards him.
Luigi escapes the anxiety of his parents' divorce by getting high on marijuana. But his allowance isn't enough to cover the cost. So Sam, a brilliant student at his high school, hires him to work as a dealer.
Luigi sees Gabriel suddenly show up in his mother's life, and he doesn't like it a bit. To get back at her for that, he decides to go see his dad in secret.

Episode 8:
Emma tries to find out who sent the sex tape of her night with Gabriel. Matteo? Luigi? Gabriel turns out to be unexpectedly supportive. Though she doesn't feel ready for a committed relationship, getting together with him and having sex once in a while seems to be the best way to forget about her breakup with Matteo. Gabriel, however, refuses to be a mere sex object. He tries to negotiate more, but Emma ends up winning the debate: their relationship needs to remain strictly sexual.
Luigi's girlfriend Jo disapproves of his new job as a dealer. He convinces her to try out one of the drugs he's selling, which is supposed to be a stimulant and a turn-on. Jo has a bad trip and it nearly kills her. Luigi makes her swear to not tell anyone he gave her the drug, and in exchange he swears to stop dealing.
Candice runs into her friend Sophie, who invites her to a party. Overjoyed to be able to take a break from her duties as a mom, she leaves Matteo with the baby. Sophie tries to get Candice to loosen up and offers her some cocaine. Candice totally lets herself go. On the dance floor, she meets Alexandre and the sparks fly.
Matteo notices Candice's change of attitude. Now it's his turn to suffer pangs of jealousy.

Episode 9:
Emma can tell that Gabriel is hiding something from her. In retaliation, she welcomes the attentions of one of her patients, Valentin, who invites her to lunch and admits that he's obsessed with her. When Emma makes it clear to him that that's as far as they'll go, Valentin is deeply disappointed, almost threatening. Could he be the mysterious person who sent her the sex tape?
Despite his good intentions to stop dealing, Luigi decides to sell the drugs he's stocked up first. When Jo finds out, she breaks up with him.
Luigi spends the night at his dad's place. Candice chooses that moment to let Matteo know that she's met another man and plans on leaving him. Awkward. She goes out to meet up with Alexandre. Matteo gets an urgent call to come in to work at the restaurant. Luigi has to stay home to babysit his little sister, but he takes advantage of the time to make a quick trip out to deliver some drugs. When he comes back, he finds his little sister sick and feverish. He panics and calls his mom, who gives up her night with Gabriel to come take care of little Juliette. Matteo is touched to see Emma so kind and willing to help.
Matteo gives Candice an ultimatum: leave her lover or it's over. Candice tells Matteo that she's leaving him and he'll have to take care of Juliette on his own. Taking on his new responsibilities as a full-time father costs Matteo his job.
Gabriel makes Emma face her contradictory behavior: is she ready to build a relationship with him or does she want to get back together with her ex?

Episode 10:
Emma takes Luigi to visit the tomb of her parents, who disappeared when she was a child. She is surprised to find Matteo there with Juliette. He didn't want her to have to go through such a painful ritual on her own. The family, reunited once again, has a nice time together. What if they gave it another chance? Matteo seems to be giving it all he's got to win Emma back.
Emma and Gabriel go to Gwen's birthday party. She introduces them to her new boyfriend Eric, who happens to be Gabriel's brother. Gabriel seems upset about it and abruptly leaves the party.
At Gabriel's insistence, Emma warns Gwen about Eric. In turn, both of them reach out to Emma because they have something to reveal to her about Gabriel. Emma is in for another shock.
As she sinks deeper and deeper into mental disarray and drug addiction, Candice quickly loses her charms in Alexandre's eyes. He doesn't really want a commitment, and besides, she's lied to him from the very beginning about her situation, pretending to be unattached, like him. When she admits the truth to him, Alexandre feels betrayed. Candice packs her bag and shows up at her parents' home. She tries to put her troubles behind her. It's time for her to make up with her father Rodolphe.

Episode 11:
Emma confronts Gabriel about his side job as an escort by making a date with him through his website. Humiliated, he walks out and leaves her alone with her vengeance. Worried about his father, Luigi asks his mom to help him. That's how Emma learns that Candice has left Matteo and abandoned Juliette, and that Matteo is out of a job and on the verge of losing his apartment. She invites him and Juliette to come live with her. The family is together again and seems to be back on the old routine. Emma and Matteo, both single, hook up and sleep together again. Though Matteo wants to believe it could last, the experience makes Emma realize it's really over between them. She goes back to Gabriel, who shows her the video he's just received. In it we see Emma and Matteo making love.
While Matteo bounces back, finds a spot in a daycare center for Juliette and gets a new job as a real estate agent, Candice sinks into depression. Being with her parents all the time and living in her childhood room is a constant reminder of her failure as a wife and mother. She gets to the point where she regrets leaving Matteo and wants another chance. But then she finds out that he and Juliette have moved in with Emma. In shock, she leaves him and takes Juliette with her. She has a conflict with her parents and ends up staying with Sophie, who takes her to a party. They get some drugs delivered, which helps Luigi get rid of the rest of his stock. They go wild and party, but Candice goes too far. Drunk and drugged out of her mind, she collapses on the dance floor, lifeless.

Episode 12:
Candice's brutal death is like an earthquake. At the burial, Rodolphe learns that Luigi sold Candice the drugs that killed her. Matteo denies it and defends his son, but Luigi owns up to it. Shocked, Matteo wants his son to take responsibility and tell the truth to the police, who are investigating the young woman's death. Emma, on the other hand, wants to save her son at all costs - even if that means lying. Plagued by feelings of guilt, Luigi tries to overdose on medication and nearly dies. When he is questioned by the police, he decides to confess everything about his work as a dealer. The judge is lenient with him. Luigi gets sentenced to do public service work.
Rodolphe, overwhelmed by the death of his daughter and burning with anger, can't handle the news. He shows up at Emma's home with a knife and threatens Luigi. Emma makes use of her own experience of feeling burned-out as a young mother to talk him through it. She manages to calm him down.
Gabriel gets fired from the doctor's office. A young female patient has accused him of sexual abuse. Emma encourages Gabriel to prove he is innocent.
Gwen invites Emma out for a drink. But Eric is there waiting for her instead. He tries to seduce her. Emma resists and walks out of the bar. But Eric catches up with her and takes her by force to the secret place where he filmed her with Gabriel. He tries to rape her. Gabriel, who knew that his brother was up to no good, finds them. He takes down Eric and saves Emma.
While he was following his brother, Gabriel saw him with the patient who accused him of abuse. The discovery clears him and allows him to get back to work.
Emma and Gabriel decide to continue their relationship, not knowing where it will lead them. Emma and Matteo finally come to a custody agreement about Luigi. They will have equal time with him.
Everyone sets out on their own path: Emma stays with Gabriel, Matteo is now a single father to little Juliette, and Luigi finally gets back together with Jo.
