Episode 1: Everyday Demons
Theo Luther is a Chief Inspector in the Serious Crime Unit in Paris. After spending long and draining months tracking down a serial killer who targeted children, Luther suffered a nervous breakdown that put his marriage on the rocks. Now he's back on active duty, but under a tight rein. And if he wants to be fully reinstated, he'll have to crush his inner demons as well as his own criminal impulses. His first investigation leads him to a young woman named Alice he suspects of killing her parents.

Episode 2: 1600 degrees
Luther tracks down a killer who's targeting police officers by piecing together the man's troubling traumatic past. Meanwhile Alice is still taunting Luther, drawing him into a dangerous game that puts his career and loved ones at risk.

Episode 3: Heads
Seemingly senseless murders are committed at a service station and in a virtual reality chamber by the same culprit. The killer was captured on surveillance camera footage, apparently choosing his victims by rolling dice. Meanwhile, Madsen is awakening from his coma and could spill Luther's dark secret and ruin his career.

Episode 4: Tails
As the dice-rolling killer grows increasingly bolder, Luther begins to unravel the gruesome logic of his brutal crimes.

Episode 5: A Bad Day
Art dealer Eliott Carrodus looks to Luther for help after his wife Jessica is kidnapped by a man with a sinister reputation who calls himself the Gold Panner. He demands seven highly valued diamonds in exchange for Jessica's life, unaware she swallowed the diamonds to hide them away. Luther will have to come up with creative tricks to try and save Jessica.

Episode 6: De Profundis
When Luther's fingerprints are found on a murder weapon, he's suspected of being the killer and runs from the police. While he's on the lam he finds it increasingly harder to distinguish between his friends and foes, which is very opportune for the ally of convenience who has become his strange bedfellow.
