After a long hunt, Capt. Leo Brolin shoots dead a serial killer whose method is to chop up young women and burn them with acid. In so doing, Brolin rescues a young bookseller, Marion Lanski, from the killer's clutches.
A year later, still recovering from the trauma, Marion becomes the target of a copycat killer, who apparently blames her for his "mentor's" death.
But if the “mentor” is dead, why is his coffin empty?
What is the meaning of the satanic inscriptions on the victims' skulls that are concealed with acid?
And can Brolin save Marion before madness or the killer gets to her?
An electrifying thriller in the vein of “Crimson Rivers”.
