Marriner, brutally robbed and left to die in the Australian wilderness, is saved by Aborigines. He grows up with them and learns their ways with the help of an English speaking man, Activity. He also develops a flair for cattle raising, but his contact with the local cattle station leads to trouble. The stockman Bluey Dallas is speared to death after interfering with the Aborigines. Marriner's new wife Monica starts introducing changes that are difficult for Marriner to resist. Eventually he has to decide between the demands of his wife and loyalty to his old Aborigine friends.
