Annette, 38, responds to Paul’s personal ad. This hard-working farmer, who lives with his sister in a remote region of France, is looking for a wife. Annette has never seen the countryside before, but soon after, in the heart of winter, she moves with her son Eric into Paul’s farm. Annette and Eric will have to deal with the hostility of Paul’s sister and with the past she tried so hard to escape.
