Single mom Suzanne just got an unpleasant surprise: her ex-husband Jim is back in Idaho to spend the Christmas holidays with her and their two daughters.
But things go from bad to worse when Jim and Suzanne go for a snowmobile ride and get caught in a snowstorm.
Their kids help organize volunteer search teams, but the two are nowhere to be found.
Plagued by hunger and exhaustion, Jim and Suzanne are forced to cooperate through the perilous adventures of avalanches and blizzards. Fighting the elements - together, as a team - is their only chance of surviving and making it home.
