Garrel's death has given Chloe her memory and legendary empathy back. When a news report points out unresolved aspects of the investigation into the disappearance and sequestering of Adele and her twin sister, Chloe gets Rocher's team to help the young criminologist investigate new leads and save her sister from her tormentor's grasp. An especially intense case that will unite the minds of two brilliant criminologists and forever change the lives of everyone on the team.

Episode 67: Troubled Waters

A few months after Chloe has left for New York, Rocher's team begins collaborating with Dr. Leguennec, a self-confident criminologist not very familiar with the subtleties of fieldwork. Assigned to the troubling missing persons case of little 8-year old Nina Terzi, the team gets caught in the crossfire between her parents: her mother, Cecile Castagnan, who is convinced her ex-husband kidnapped her, and her father, Hasan Terzi, who thinks his ex-wife is responsible for their daughter's series of hospitalizations since their separation. Could Cecile, in high demand since the publication of her novel "The Little Girls in the Well," have neglected Nina? Dr. Leguennec goes a step further and accuses Cecile of having killed her daughter, a victim of Munchhausen syndrome by proxy.
But Adele unexpectedly gets involved and reveals the disturbing resemblance Nina's disappearance bears to the drama suffered 30 years earlier by Cecile and her friend Angele, described in Cecile's novel. Is it possible that same vagabond who sequestered those little girls at the bottom of a well could strike again 30 years later?
While the team does its best to accept Chloe's replacement for better or for worse, Adele tries to find decent lodgings for herself and her baby nephew Ulysse. Hyppolite comes up with the improbable solution: why doesn't Adele share the incredible apartment with a view of the Eiffel Towel that Jess is renting?

Episode 68: Halloween

For Adele's first official investigation, the team looks into the murder of a family man, Thibaud Dufresne, disfigured by a broken bottle. Hyppolite gets hold of video surveillance tapes that show the killer disguised as a terrifying clown - a mask become popular through an ad campaign of viral films on the Internet featuring clowns attacking people passing by. Just silly, inoffensive humor? Over the last few weeks, several violent attacks have been committed by the same clown. Could one of the actors hired for the ads have gone crazy? Or could someone be using the campaign to unleash his sadistic tendencies?
When the team gets clued in to the possibility of a new attack at a Halloween party to be held at the City Hall of a Parisian suburb, our heroes get decked out in their best costumes to track down the killer clown.
While Adele has a hard time leaving Ulysse at daycare, for fear he'll be kidnapped by Argos, Emma figures out how to prove to Hyppolite that they may be more than just stepfather and stepdaughter.

Episode 69: The Return

Summoned to Lucas' middle school because he got in a fight, Rocher is witness to the suicide attempt of the other kid in the fight, Eliott Baroin. Just in the nick of time, he manages to keep the teen boy from jumping off the school roof, and takes him home, only to discover his mom is dead - and has been for ten days! How could Eliott have lived with his mother's corpse for so long? How did Carine Baroin die? Could her own son have possibly killed her? The mother and son lived alone together and Adele recognizes the destructive signs of a fusional relationship in the young boy. Touched by his fragile nature, Adele refuses to suspect him of murdering his mom... until Hyppolite finds out that Eliott had actually been kidnapped when he was only two.

Episode 70: The Snitch

The team's latest assignment is the death of an old lady hit by a car. A sad case that wouldn't have required police investigation if the doctor hadn't noticed that the victim had also been poisoned and stabbed three times.
Emma is outraged by such extreme violence upon an elderly person, but when Adele visits the victim's house, she finds several telephoto lenses aimed at her neighbors' homes and hundreds of carbon copies of anonymous letters of denunciation. Far from being a sweet little old lady, the victim was a snitch who ravaged her neighborhood for decades. Intrigued by one letter denouncing "the worst of the monsters," Adele and Rocher check out the house of the person in question and soon discover an old refrigerator in the back of the cellar with a frozen baby inside.

Episode 71: With All My Heart

While Rocher is expertly earning his certificate in extreme driving, Emma is confronted with a stunning statement reporting a crime: a famous psychic tells her of the vision he had of a man lying in water under a stark spotlight, surrounded by tulips.
Despite the scepticism they have about the medium's claims, our investigators identify the person, who has been missing several days. When they visit his home, they find him dead in his bathtub, surrounded by tulips. Did the psychic come to report his visions in good faith, or is he actually guilty of the crime? And what could be behind the recent relationship the victim had with a woman, which he hid from all of his friends? He who more than a year later, still couldn't get over the accidental death of his wife...

Episode 72: The Mummy

The team discovers the body of a homeless man in the woods west of Paris, dead after scraping three letters into the ground with his fingernails. As Adele ponders the possible meaning of this gesture, Rocher saves her just in the nick of time - from a royal cobra hiding in the victim's car! The investigation takes an unexpected turn when Hyppolite learns that the homeless man was an archeologist who, 20 years earlier, discovered the tomb of an Egyptian queen who prophesied 1000 snakebites for those who would desecrate her tomb.

Episode 73: The Chosen Ones 1

Adele, locked up in a psychiatric ward instead of her twin sister, unsuccessfully struggles to prove she has been tricked. Meanwhile, Camille, who has taken on her identity, is enjoying destroying her sister's entire life. The team investigates the violent murder of a lawyer. For Rocher, the case becomes a highly personal matter when he learns that the victim encouraged the family of his son's girlfriend Agathe to move to a village in Yonne where his son Lucas has just passed a week of vacation.

Episode 74: The Chosen Ones 2

Having escaped the psychiatric ward, Adele takes stock of the damage Camille has done in her name. Emma and Hyppolite are tearing each other apart. Rocher can't even look her in the eye anymore. The whole team is falling apart. Though she can't heal their wounds, Adele can review the facts of the case at hand. She soon figures out the educational center in Yonne is a sect. A sect that drugs kids and forces them to shoot their parents. A sect that won't hesitate to eliminate anyone and everyone who gets in the way.
