Violette Castillon, a young and pretty lawyer from Paris, arrives on the beautiful Isle of Ré to defend Stany, a criminal who reveals that her dead father, José Rocca, was a bank robber.
Violette is intrigued. Unfortunately, before they can talk, Stany is attacked in jail and falls into a coma. Next day, a man is murdered on the island.
Handsome Detective Clément Borghese investigates and Violette soon discovers troubling connections between them: Borghese's little brother was last seen alive with her father, José Rocca, just before the boy mysteriously disappeared.
What kind of man was her father really? Why so many murders on an idyllic island usually so peaceful?
