19-year-old Juliette is on holiday with her mother Mathilde in Bali when she meets Gerome, a 25-year-old Frenchman who has been living there for some years.
Romance blooms, but Gerome mysteriously disappears during a tourist cruise, leaving Juliette with a bag full of hashish and cocaine when the police suddenly turn up. Brought to trial, Juliette is sentenced to life imprisonment.
Reunited in this ordeal, Juliette’s divorced parents must move heaven and earth to prove their daughter’s innocence in the face of corrupt and lawless individuals.
