This year, the hard-core environmentalist Stievenart family wants to exchange its unheated, perpetually freezing, ultra-low carbon footprint home in the Belgian town of Tihange, for a holiday place in the sun. Their online ad is spotted by Mr Roger-Maillon, searching for a house in Tihange, to oversee repairs at a nuclear power plant. He offers to exchange his family’s country house in the south of France.
But can the high fossil fuel-consuming Roger-Maillon folks endure life in the Stievenarts’ severely eco-friendly house? And how will the scrupulously conscious environmentalists deal with the Roger-Maillons’energy-hungry/wasteful lifestyle?
