Episode 21: Simon
Finally cured of cancer, Sam is ready to make a new start, to race out and enjoy life. But then her childhood friend Antoine shows up and turns her world upside down with a flood of old memories. The problem of a runaway student named Simon gives Sam something to focus on besides her troubling past. Meanwhile, Xavier takes on his former job as school principal again. He becomes roommates with Vero and her daughter and is shocked to find out that he was an adopted child.

Episode 22: Arthur
Tormented by a secret related to her past, Sam does everything she can to avoid Antoine. When her class has a birthday party, they find out that one of her students can't have sugar. The father gets involved and Xavier makes Sam work on the issue with Antoine, who has now become the president of the parent-teacher association. Still in shock about the news he was adopted, Xavier refuses to meet his biological father. After Vero makes a confession about the father of her daughter, he starts to get closer and closer to her.

Episode 23: Ava
Sam and Antoine tease and taunt each other, and have a lot of fun doing it. But Sam realizes she is a lot more troubled by him than she'd like to be. Things between them grow tense again when Antoine's daughter is called out for harassing one of Sam's students, who comes from a homoparental family.
Xavier, shaken by meeting his biological father, finds comfort in Veronique's arms.

Episode 24: Rayanne
Xavier is the happiest man in the world. His marriage to Vero is finally going to give him the family he's always dreamed of. Though Sam is convinced that he is making the worst mistake of his life, as the groom's "best man", she can't get out of going to the wedding ceremony. But that doesn't mean she has to show up on time! At the last minute, Sam has to help her student Rayanne fulfill her dream of doing stand-up comedy. The wedding celebration stirs up emotions between Antoine and Sam, who finally succumb to their desires.

Episode 25: Kenza and Lucie
Sam's troubles are far from over. She has to deal with the issue of one of her students accusing Tom of harassment, and unfortunately she has a hard time remaining neutral on the subject. At the same time, she still feels torn apart by conflicting feelings. Convinced that she alone was responsible for Antoine's family disaster thirty years ago, she can't get herself to confess her secret to him. She is so totally head over heels in love that when he asks her to move in with him, she decides to give their future together a chance.

Episode 26 : Emma and Joris
Sam, who is living with Antoine now, has to deal with the trials and tribulations of a blended family. At school, she gets concerned about the love story developing between Emma and Joris. The way Joris keeps pressuring Emma to go farther reminds her of the trauma she went through as a teenager. Despite her best efforts, life at home with Antoine takes a dramatic turn for the worse and she ends up revealing her secret to him. He walks out, shattered.
Xavier puts his whole heart into devotedly fulfilling his role as stepfather. As he and Chloe get to be good buddies, Vero feels like she is being pushed aside and starts getting really anxious about it.

Episode 27: Theo
Sam juggles her personal life, which is falling apart, and her work at school, which involves a bunch of kids with problems. As she tries to help a student who is addicted to video games, she makes a final attempt to save her relationship. Antoine, still wildly in love with her, is determined to make their love story last. But just when they think they've put their problems behind them, Deborah, Antoine's soon-to-be ex-wife shows up by surprise.
Meanwhile, Xavier puts his relationship in jeopardy by bringing Chloe to visit her father in prison. Vero is raving mad about it, especially since the experience has traumatized Chloe, who has run away from home.

Episode 28: Julien
The arrival of Antoine's wife Deborah worries Sam terribly. Luckily for her, she is able to devote her attention to work at school and to one of her students who has a hearing impairment.
Xavier, after going through his first arguments as a newlywed, is delighted to find out he is going to be a father.
Antoine, who finally understands Sam's anxiety, tries to be reassuring. He loves her. He has decided to return to the U.S. to finalize his divorce once and for all. Will Sam have the patience to wait? Will Antoine keep his promise and come back?
